Tan Chin Teik graduated from the University of Warwick with honours in the field of Mechanical Engineering in 1997. Prior to joining Wamata Solutions, he worked with the research and engineering development team at GEC Alsthom in England on railway technology.

Thereafter he returned to Malaysia and joined Dantech PGK to market Pfaff’s renowned lifting equipments which are currently being used by the LRT operators, STAR and PUTRA as well KTMB ( Malayan Railways ) for their EMU (Electrical Multiple Unit) trains.

He was then promoted and offered a position at the parent Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company, Dantech Sdn Bhd where he worked extensively with the Project Manager as well as the Project Director to design the Generating Plant at the Water Treatment Project for Sungai Selangor Phase 2 owned by Puncak Niaga as well as the Generating Plant at the Water Treatment Project for Johore River Waterworks ( Value : RM50 Million ) owned by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) of Singapore.

Noting his dynamism and enthusiasm, the management then drafted him to manage Wamata Solutions Sdn Bhd, a company set up to accommodate the high IT growth in Malaysia. Working hand in hand with Spectrocan Ltd of Canada, he secured a multi-million ringgit project for them to supply and deliver Spectrocan's renowned Automated Frequency Management System (AFMS) in 2000 to the Government of Malaysia. Subsequently he secured the Phase 2 of the project that involves Consulting, GIS and planning tools to the same client in March 2001.

Mr. Tan has since been also involved in the Strategic Study of the Malaysian Postal Industry in 2003. Partnering with Canada Post International Ltd of Canada, he was directly involved in the review, recommendation and redrafting of the new Malaysian Postal Act.

Upon acknowledging his accomplishments, ZANTAZ Inc (previously known as EDUCOM TS Inc), a global leader in Information Retention and Discovery Management then negotiated to have Wamata Solutions be its Exclusive Distributor for its renowned 'Enterprise Archive Solution' (EAS) and its relevant products in Malaysian and Singapore. EAS is being widely used in USA, North America and Europe hence ZANTAZ’s desire to expand its reach to Asia. Within 5 months, a project was secured with a local bank in Malaysia to roll out EAS.

Mr. Tan was offered the position of Executive Director at Wamata Solutions and is responsible in managing all aspects of the day to day operations of Wamata Solutions.

Mr. Tan also sits on the board as Director for Dantech Sdn Bhd, Kitra Trading, KM Cocoa and Kumpulan Manutech.
